Trying to get results on Instagram can feel overwhelming on a good day. Between all the content you feel like you have to create, the stress of reach and hashtags and engagement, and the never-ending comparison mind-trap of seeing other people showing up “successfully” …

I know it might feel like seeing results on instagram is something you will never be able to achieve. But I’m here to tell you it’s possible – and it doesn’t have to add a ton of work to your place.

Who am I to be Talking about This?

Hi! If we haven’t met yet, my name is Amber Broder and I am the founder & CEO of ABC Social Media Management. I work with entrepreneurs in all sorts of industries to grow their communities, with a focus on interior design and home decor businesses. Not only have I built my client roster primarily from Instagram, but I have generated leads and revenue for my clients with my Instagram strategies.

What is Instagram Success?

The next logical question is, what does “Instagram Success” even mean?

This is going to look different for every entrepreneur based on your business goals, your lifestyle, and how you see Instagram fitting into them. For the purpose of this article, I’m going to define Instagram success as generating leads and clients from your Instagram marketing efforts. So without further ado, here are 5 of the strategies I employ with my clients

5 Ways to See More Results on Instagram With Less Stress:

#1: Plan your Content in Advance.

We’ve all heard that the path to Instagram success is paved with consistency. But how do you stay consistent when you’re also juggling client work, important but time-consuming admin, as well as your personal life?

You PLAN. Don’t leave your Instagram posts to chance! Map out at least the topics, if not the posts themselves, ahead of time so you’re not trying to come up with a post on the fly when you’re not in an inspired, creative mindset. You can do this with pen + paper, tools like Airtable or Notion, or with scheduling tools like Later or Planoly.

#2: Utilize a mix of Content Types

I’m sure you’ve also heard that reels are the way to grow on Instagram. And while short-form video content is important to your strategy, it shouldn’t be the only piece of your strategy.

Some of your community will love reels and others will pledge to never watch the; Likewise, some will love carousels while others scroll by, some will always comment on your photos, etc.

This is where content repurposing comes in handy. While you focus on creating the content you like, you can outsource repurposing your main posts into many new types.

Utilizing a mix of content – stories, static photos, text graphics, carousels, reels, and lives will allow you to talk to all the different people in your audience.

#3: Don't forget the Social Part of Social Media.

Too often I see people focusing on content and forgetting that the “media” is only one part of social media marketing.

You also have to talk to your people – and I don’t just mean through your captions.

Have conversations in the DMs! Respond to people’s stories, ask them what they’re struggling with, offer help or a reaction and build connections instead of just followers.

Not only does this build a relationship between your two accounts algorithm-wise, making it more likely that they will see your content, and it also humanizes your business in their eyes.

People don’t buy from people they don’t know, like and trust – and content alone won’t get them to trust you.

#4: Avoid Following too many "experts" and "gurus"

Ever heard of having too many cooks in the kitchen?

This can happen if you’re following too many self-proclaimed Instagram “experts” and “gurus”. Especially when their opinions conflict, it can feel confusing and overwhelming.

While I absolutely believe there is so much to learn from Instagram strategists, you don’t need to follow 10 or 15 – a few well-vetted, experienced accounts will benefit you much more.

#5: Outsource to an Expert

My final tip to help you see more results with less stress is: Take Instagram off your plate completely and outsource it to an expert.

You don’t have to do all the things in your business – and if you find that you consistently don’t have the time or energy to post to Instagram, it’s time to hand that task over to someone whose job it is to manage your Instagram strategy.

Not only do you get that time back in your business, but you also get the relief of knowing that you’ll see the results you’re hoping for.

With these tips, it’s my hope that you have more results on Instagram – and make more money while doing so!
